Spent Christmas at this hotel and the location was perfect, close to public transportation and local restaurants. The room was clean and spacious, with a mini-fridge and free toiletries. Staff was friendly and accommodating, they offered a complementary hot chocolate and cookies by the lobby, which was a nice touch.
The WiFi was very weak in the room and there was no option to connect via ethernet cable. the heating system did not seem to work properly as the room was too cold during the night.

The rooms are very pleasant in size and furnishings. The beds are very good and so is the noise insulation. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. So all data was already prepared at check-in and this was only a matter of seconds. Perfect for our needs, very much again.

A more modern and comfortable hotel with very good tram connections and within walking distance to the banks of the Rhine and the forest park.

We arrived at the hotel and were delighted to see that it was located right opposite the tram station. the hotel is also very close to the center of town which made it easy for us to explore. the room and bathroom were spotless, the service was great and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. the hotel is in a residential neighborhood which made it peaceful and quiet in the evenings. We enjoyed the view from our room and appreciated the working air conditioning during a hot summer stay.
The elevator was quite slow which caused a bit of a wait during busy periods.

Big, clean rooms. Friendly staff.
Breakfast is a little sparse.

Positive: Extra bed for 8-year-old son prepared before arrival and free of charge. Dinner surprisingly good for accommodation in this price range. Very friendly service; free mineral water in the lobby area - hotel relatively quiet / little occupied on the weekend of our visit.
Potential for improvement: A clearly visible notice board with restaurant times could help, since, for example, lunch is not offered on Sundays.

Clean and quiet room and hotel. Somewhat away from the city centre, but there were train/underground stop near the hotel and some free parking lots. At the moment we visited there the hotel seemed to be almost empty.
Breakfast wasn't included in room price. We didn't take it as priced for 17,- euros it sounded a bit expensive.

The hotel was in a quiet neighborhood slightly outside the city center. The staff were friendly and helpful, and most spoke excellent English. Breakfast was great and the room was clean and spacious. Transportation was convenient.
Nothing all good.

As I was a guest for two nights only, I found it extremely comfortable to be housed in their annex just several doors down from the main hotel. It was beautiful, comfortable with maximum privacy and, a bonus for future trips, a fully equipped area work area for laptop computers! As a non-German speaker, the staff made my trip to Mannheim effortless and really extended a helping hand. I may be returning soon for another conference and I intend to staynot only at the Steubenhof but as well in the same room!
I was surprised that the restaurant was somewhat understaffed and unprepared to offer even snacks or a club sandwich for a weary, hungry conference attendee like myself. Instead I contented myself with nuts and a drink at the excellent bar.
